Kindy classes for ages 3-6 at Sagewood Pre Primary

Helen O'Grady Drama Academy visits Sagewood Pre Primary every Wednesday and Friday to teach Speech and Drama to the wonderful drama students! 

This week they learnt all about transport and even performed a great play all about Champion Riders!

Each week we include speech, movement and lots of verbal communication in our classes. Our classes help children with their memory as well as teaching them to share, take turns and respect one another.

Our Drama studio in Faerie Glen caters for ages 5-18. Our programme is designed to develop confidence and skill in oral communication. 

Students attend classes every Monday during the school term at 429 Glenwood rd, Faerie Glen.

Term 3 Underway way this week!

Monday 21 July was the start of term 3. It has been wonderful to see all our students back after what felt like a very long holiday! 

We would also like to warmly welcome all the new students who started Drama for the first time this year!

On Fridays we teach our programme at Wierda Park Reformed Church on the corner of Meyer and Willem Botha rds. 

The Lower Primary Performed a great play today called Planning Pays Off. They had so much fun ad libbing and they learnt all about recycling!

Annual Helen O'Grady Seminar

Every year the Principals from all over South Africa and Africa meet for their Annual Helen O'Grady Seminar. 

This Seminar is very important as this is the chance to discuss the curriculum, workshop new ideas and touch base with one another. 

We are a very close knit group and so it is also a chance to catch up with one another, which usually happens at our Seminar Dinner!

Thank you to our wonderful SA franchisor, Vicky Stroud, and our African franchisor, Duncan Rice, for putting together such an informative and exciting seminar! 

Many of us are looking forward to getting back to work and implementing what we have learnt! 

Visit to Midrand Montessori on Monday!

Every Monday we visit Midrand Montessori for our weekly DRAMA classes! The children have fun whilst developing important skills such as memory, speech and oral communication.
