Our Youth Theatre Classes for Teenagers are very POPULAR!

On Mondays we have our Faerie Glen Youth Theatre .... under the expert tuition of Katryn! 

On Tuesdays we have our Brooklyn Youth Theatre which is facilitated by our Vice Principal, Larisa!

 On Wednesdays we have a combined class of 10-16yr olds which we present in Midstream. This class is also under the instruction of the lovely Larisa!!

 Also on Wednesdays but a lot further North...in Annlin to be precise! We have a small but dynamic group of teenagers who Michelle really enjoys teaching!

We also have Youth Theatre classes in Wierda Park on Fridays and Beaulieu on Saturdays...photos to follow....

The Youth Theatre programme, for ages 13-18years, we offer in the Academy is one of self development. Our prime aim is to give students ongoing confidence and skill in verbal communication. We do this through a balanced theatre arts programme covering speech, advanced improvisation, structured small group improvisation, script work, character analysis and production techniques.

From Midrand to Pretoria North there is a Youth Theatre class near you!!

Youth Theatre Class under the Cool Trees on a rather warm Pretoria day!

Warm..well that's an understatement...it was in fact 38 C !! But the students still had energy and remained focussed!

FAERIE GLEN PARENT DAY PRESENTATION

A BIG thank you to all students who participated in today's parent day - we are so proud of you - you all did an amazing job!Thank you to Larisa for all your hard work and dedication to the children - it really showed today in the brilliant performances! Of course a big shout out must go to the audiences who came to watch...thank you mums dads grannies grandpas teachers aunties uncles and friends!

BROOKLYN PARENT DAY WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!!!

The Upper Primary did a fantastic job showcasing their play "The School Camp". They all brought a wonderful array of props which added to the theme of the play...

The Kykkos Hall at the Brooklyn Church is a wonderful venue to host Parent Day's. We were so impressed with the fantastic turn out of parents and friends - they all really enjoyed the show!

The Lower Primary were so excited to show their parents and friends the different things they do in Drama class each week!

The Youth Theatre are a really great bunch of teenagers! They performed Prop Snippets, Mime to Music and mini scripts - WOW were they good :-)

The Lower Primary demonstrated some of the speech work they do each week...who can open their mouth the widest??

The audience were captivated by the children's brilliant performances!

Wierda Park Parent Day!

The students at our Wierda Park studio 'wowed' their parents in a fantastic presentation of skills aquired throughout the year!
Thank you to all students involved! A big shout out must go to parents, family and friends who braved the cold weather to come and support the Helen O Grady Students!
