The Snake Charmer Comes to Faerie Glen

Helen O' Grady Drama Academy has been running classes in Faerie Glen on Mondays since 2009. The Lower Primary class (ages 5-8) delighted audiences with their performance of The Snake Charmer!

Lyttelton Lower Primary showed excellent performance skills in their play Grasshopper and the Ants

It is so wonderful to see children who might not normally feel comfortable on stage enjoying their stage experience! These students were really fantastic and they loved every minute of it!

Mime, Movement, Improvisations..just a snippet of all the areas we cover in our International Curriculum!

Having fun and making friends is part of what our fantastic programme is all about! Students that learn through having fun are more likely to remember what they have learnt! Many of our Afrikaans speaking students have found that their English Speaking skills increase rapidly due to our classes!

The Lower Primary aged 5-9yrs are having so much fun with their play called Pirate Joe which they are going to perform at The Centurion Theatre on the 19 November!

This time one of our Lower Primary celebrated her birthday! We all had fun singing Happy Birthday and making her lesson special! Happy Birthday C!!

The sometimes 'crazy' Youth theatre!
Classes from ages 5-18yrs take place every Monday afternoon from 3.30-5.30 at the NG Faerie Glen Church on Glenwood Road. Students are divided into separate age groups. Our main aim is to develop their self confidence and oral communication skills but most of all we want the students to have loads of FUN!! Because the best way to learn (and to remember) is through play!

Drama has begun!! And term 3 is underway at our Faerie Glen Studio...

Students were eager to get started again today and thoroughly enjoyed the first lesson of term 3!! We run classes for ages 5-18yrs at the NG Church in Faerie Glen on Monday afternoons.
