The Youth Theatre programme we offer at Helen O' grady Drama Academy is one of self development. Our prime aim is to give students ongoing confidence and skill in verbal communication. We do this through a balanced theatre arts programme covering speech, advanced improvisation, structured small group improvisation, script work, character analysis and production techniques. In the fourth term each class begins work on a scripted production which they put on for their parent and friends at the end of the year!! Right here in Annlin we have a wonderful group of teens who thoroughly enjoy coming together on Wednesday evenings at the Meelvloer (behind Wonderboom Junction)

New Studio OPEN in Annlin at Die Meelvloer on Wednesdays!!

 After months of looking for a suitable venue and marketing at the local schools we are so happy that we have OPENED in ANNLIN! Our studio is located just behind Wonderboom Junction at Die Meelvloer....We run classes every Wednesday during the school term.

 Our first new arrivals aged 5 - 8yrs arrived at 3pm. WE were so surprised at how talented this group was!

 We did speech work....and worked on jaw exercises...

 We taught a poem to the children and they learnt it so quickly...so clever!

 We did snippets....the imagination was fantastic!

 We made friends!

 When the students left the class they were brimming with enthusiasm and excitement!!

 We worked on different emotions!

Our Upper Primary arrived at 4pm. This group suits ages 9-12yrs. What special students we taught :)

 We did movement and worked together....

 We performed a mini script to perfection...

This made us very HAPPY!

Our last group to arrive were our Youth Theatre for ages 13+
We are so lucky to have an 'old' Helen O Grady student from Mossel Bay who has moved up to PTA joining us! As well as a very talented teen!

Lots of theatre games, acting and general getting to know each other made for a perfect first lesson!!
