Our Wierda Park Youth Theatre ended off the Evening with a very dramatic physical theatre piece called Perspectives




This year our older students (13-18yrs) explored the genre of Physical and Educational theatre. They really enjoyed the challenge and not only did it teach them a different genre of theatre it also made them think about daily issues that we face in South Africa

Grade 1's and 2's from Sagewood School performing The Snake Charmer








These bright and talented grade 1's and 2's started off our Drama evening at Centurion Theatre with their play called The Snake Charmer. They had so much confidence on stage and most importantly - they had FUN! Well Done to each and every one of you!

TERM 1 DRAWS TO A CLOSE

It is hard to believe that we have already come to the end of Term 1 2013!!
We have had a very exciting term! So many of our loyal students returned for another year filled with DRAMA!
We also had lots of new students join - it has been wonderful to meet so many enthusiastic students and share our love of Drama with them!

The term officially ended on Wednesday 20 March (although this excludes our Beaulieu studio which is run on a three term basis)


To all students and friends and parents we wish you all a very HAPPY HOLIDAY!

For those celebrating Easter - HAPPY EASTER! And for those travelling - stay safe :-)

Our new term starts on Tuesday 9 April.

We look forward to seeing you all soon...

OUR ANNLIN STUDENTS ALL GET ON FAMOUSLY




Our wonderfully talented group of girls and boys aged 9-12yrs all get along so well and they have made some special friends at Drama! They are super excited for their upcoming play which we think they will perform brilliantly!!

Kindy Drama At Whiz Kids Nursery School



Kindy Drama with our excellent teacher Larisa is so much fun! Larisa has done an amazing job with these students! They really enjoy her classes and it is wonderful to see how much their speech, especially their articulation, has improved over the past few months.

HELEN O' GRADY HAS ARRIVED AT MOONLIGHT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN WILLOW GLEN, PRETORIA

Moonlight International School is a wonderful, caring private school that is part of the Horizon Educational Trust. The school opened in January of this year. Helen O' Grady Drama Academy has just started teaching the whole school as part of their cultural curriculum.
Helen O'Grady Drama Academy Cape Town has been running our International Curriculum at their sister school, Star International with great success!

Our Enthusiastic Erasmia Students had so much fun on Parent Day!


Our Erasmia Lower and Upper Primary classes delivered a wonderful Parent Day Presentation to happy parents, grandparents and friends! It was so rewarding to see how quickly students who are fairly new to our programme have joined in whole heartedly, participating enthusiastically and confidently in each activity.

Our classes aim to promote confidence and communication skills in children aged 3 - 18 years.

Our 5 - 8 year olds performed their mini play called The School Orchestra...


 Our 9 -12 year olds performed their structured scene called, "How the Zebra Got His Stripes"

Lindo Park Primary School students WOWED their friends, families and teachers

Monday night was alive with Drama, creativity, imagination and above all FUN!
Our students who attend Lindo Park Primary put on a fantastic show for their parents friends and teachers. In fact their performances were so good that the school has asked us to perform on Break Up Day for the whole school!! We are so excited!

Our Wonderful Wierda Park Students performing at their Midyear Helen O' Grady Drama Presentation

The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy presented a most fabulous parents day to family and friends at the Reformed Church in Wierda Park on Friday. This really showed their excellent skill development for the performance arts. Classes take place on Friday afternoons and students come from the surrounding areas including Eldoglen, Heuweloord, Centurion, Wierda Park, Rooihuiskraal, Laudium, Erasmia and Eldoraigne
