Visit to Midstream Studio

On Wednesday Principal Juliet Jordaan visited our Midstream Studio - she said, "It is always so wonderful to visit the Midstream studio! The students are simply amazing!"

The Lower Primary were very busy practising for their upcoming play and they delighted in showing off their skills to Juliet!

Children love Drama!

From Midrand to Pretoria children love DRAMA!! 

Our carefully designed curriculum allows students to explore their inner self and in so doing develop their self confidence!

We have been operating in the Pretoria area for over 6 years and it is marvellous to witness so many positive results!

It is a known fact that children learn and retain information that is learnt through fun!

Midstream Youth Theatre taking Vox Pops to a whole new level!!

This class is so creative - it is wonderful to watch them getting into character and  remaining so focussed! 

Yesterday they performed Vox Pops (voice of the people)

At the Helen O Grady Drama Academy children are given lots of opportunity to act and be on stage! But even more than that they are given a platform to expand their creativity and practise important life skills, such as making friends and developing confidence!

Dress up for Week 9 - 17 - 22 March

Lower Primary (5-9yrs) this week is a Mime to Music! 

Children can dress up in red/yellow/green and brown - any colour that represents a pizza topping!!

There is no dress up for the Upper Primary!

Vicky visits from our head office in PE

Vicky Stroud is our franchisor and she runs her own Academy in Port Elizabeth. First she visited our classes that we run at Nizamiye School and then she joined 

us at our Midstream studio - where she was so impressed with the children's creative dress up ideas!

This week's dress up theme and Bring a Friend

This week Monday 3 - Saturday 8 February all students in Lower and Upper  Primary are dressing up as Cavemen and Cave women!! 

This can be very easy...messy hair, brown or animal print clothes and dirty faces!!

This is for our Mime to Music called 'No Meat'!

The students are going to have a lot of fun with this! 

This week is also Bring a Friend Week!

This means that students can bring a friend (or 2!) along to drama for a free lesson!!

Students ages 5-9 were asked to bring props and dress up for their play called 'Who Invited You?'

There were so many creative ideas and our picnic was a great success! 

Our pesky seagulls also had some very interesting costumes! Wow these kids are smart!

This week our 5-8 yr olds performed a Mime to Music called The Garden Gnomes. They really enjoyed using their bodies and faces to tell the story!
