Snippet fun at our Irene Studio with our Lower Primary!

Our Lower Primary students love to create their own snippets and they always come up with very creative and wonderful ideas!
They usually work in groups of 2's or 3's and each week they are paired with different students which builds social skills!

For more information about our  programme in Centurion and Pretoria contact Juliet 0829091630 or email juliet@helenogrady.co.za

This week's dress up theme and Bring a Friend

This week Monday 3 - Saturday 8 February all students in Lower and Upper  Primary are dressing up as Cavemen and Cave women!!
This can be very easy...messy hair, brown or animal print clothes and dirty faces!!
This is for our Mime to Music called 'No Meat'!

The students are going to have a lot of fun with this!

This week is also Bring a Friend Week!
This means that students can bring a friend (or 2!) along to drama for a free lesson!!

Irene Primary students performances were spectacular

It was a cold Thursday evening but still the Drama students at our Irene Primary studio were well supported by friends and family! The Lower Primary had so much confidence as they demonstrated their speech exercises and performed poems, a mime to music and an improvisation called Storybook Adventure!
Many of our Upper Primary have been with Helen O Grady Drama Academy for many years and it showed in their wonderful performances!

Irene Upper Primary 1 performing Fancy That!

It is so wonderful to see children being so creative - in this play especially the students were able to choose their own characters and develop them to their full potential! We especially loved how creative they were with their costumes!

Week 1 of Term 3 is almost complete!

The first week of the term has almost come to an end. What a fun and exciting week it has been! We have loved seeing all our students back after the holidays! And of course it has been wonderful to meet our new students and welcome them into the Helen O'Grady family!

We are looking forward to our classes at First Friends Montessori, Sagewood Pre School & Prep School and in Wierda Park tomorrow (Friday 20 July). Then on Saturday it is off to Beaulieu Prep and Lyttelton.

Favourite quote of the week came from 5 year old Sufyaan from our Erasmia Studio - "Why did Drama take so long to come again?" Quite right Sufyaan the holiday was way too long!!
