Vice Principal – Larisa Grove
We are very pleased to announce that Larisa Grove has been appointed Vice-Principal of the Helen O’Grady
Drama Academy in Pretoria. With over 500 students (and growing!) it will be
very good to have someone of her calibre to assist with the day-to-day running
of the Academy, the development of the staff and the continued nurturing of
your special children. Having been with the Academy for some years now, many of
you already know her, she has excellent teaching skills and she is the epitome
of our positive self-development programme.
As the largest Drama Academy in South Africa, we promote
confidence, communication skills, presentation skills and creativity in
children aged 3 – 18 years!
We achieve this by focussing on speech; basic movement and
mime; creative improvisation; and dialogue development – everything your child
needs to learn to be confident and communicate effectively while having fun!
The Youth Theatre programme, for ages 13-18years, we offer in
the Academy is one of self development. Our prime aim is to give students
ongoing confidence and skill in verbal communication. We do this through a
balanced theatre arts programme covering speech, advanced improvisation,
structured small group improvisation, script work, character analysis and
production techniques
