Brooklyn Parent Presentation was Brilliant!

Juliet Jordaan, Principal of Helen O 'Grady Drama Academy and Larisa Grove, Vice Principal of Helen O 'Grady Drama Academy enjoyed the Brooklyn Presentation immensely!
The students were incredibly well prepared and full of enthusiasm!!

HOLIDAY WORKSHOP - MIME AND STAGE COMBAT 2 - 4 JULY Ages 10-18

We are running a very exciting Holiday Workshop – aimed at ages 10-18 years from 

 Tuesday 2 July - Thursday 4 July

 

Venue:  Greek Church, Roper Road, Brooklyn Pretoria.

Time:    9am – 12pm

 

Cost:      R800.00

 

The workshop will concentrate on mime, stage combat and acting techniques.

We have an expert in the field of Mime and Stage Combat– Henco Jacobs - who will be taking the students on a journey through mime and stage combat.

Our Vice Principal Larisa Grove will be facilitating the workshop and working on acting techniques and theatre skills

 

We are only accepting a maximum of 20 students – please let me know if you would like to book a place!

Faerie Glen Parent Presentation

Last Monday we had a very enjoyable afternoon as we were entertained by the students from our Faerie Glen Studio

Principal's Seminar - East London - a great success!

This weekend Principals from all over South Africa and Africa gathered in East London for our annual mid year conference. It is wonderful to catch up with everyone and find out what is happening in the different areas!
We also went through our upcoming curriculum which is always exciting !

With the Youth Theatre in charge we had a very smooth Parent Presentation at our Wierda Park studio

Last Friday we had the privilege of watching our very talented students as they took to the stage for their Mid Year Parent Presentation! From our littlest student all the way through to our teenagers the audience was entertained! It was clear from the laughter and clapping that they thoroughly enjoyed the show!!

Wow! We have had a very exciting past 2 weeks!
Larisa Lauren and I have had the privilege of watching 15 parent presentations!

The students thoroughly enjoyed having a platform in which to demonstrate what they have been doing in class...from Storybook Adventure to Bats in a Cave to a very energetic Cities and of course who could forget William Tell?

Thank you to our wonderful parents and friends who came to give encouragement and support!

Drama is finished for the term - enjoy the holidays and we look forward to seeing everyone back in July!
