Wierda Park Studio Performed Brilliantly!

We started off our show last Friday night with our Lower Primary performing the delightful play The Snake Charmer! Students aged 5-9 wowed the audience with their wonderful loud voices and acting skills! Everyone on stage had lots of fun which is so important!

Not only were the students from Wierda Park studio dressed to the nines but their acting skills were flawless and they put on a remarkable show for their audience! Congratulations!

 Our Wierda Park students always remember to bring props and dress up for their plays! They had so much fun Going on Holiday - using the props really made the play feel 'real' :-)

After our fantastic Parent Presentation where students showcased some of the work they had been doing this term, we handed out certificates of merit and achievement. There were also a number of students receiving Trophies for their commitment and dedication to our programme.

WIERDA PARK STUDIO IN FULL SWING!!

We started off the afternoon with the Lower Primary and "Bring A Grown Up Day". What a fantastic time parents and students had acting alongside each other! FUN was had by all!

WIERDA PARK LOWER PRIMARY ENJOY THEIR LAST LESSON OF THE TERM!!

This wonderfully enthusiastic and talented group of children had their last lesson of the term on Friday 17 Sept! It was very exciting for them as they heard all about the play they are going to perform at the Centurion Theatre on 28 November! They also had the chance to improvise some scenes!! These children are aged between 5 and 8yrs old. They attend classes at the Wierda Park Reformed Church on Willem Botha Str on Friday afternoons from 3pm - 4pm during the school term!

The students from our Wierda Park studio come from many different schools in the area - they get together from 5pm - 6pm on Fridays and it is a really great way to meet friends and unwind after their hectic school schedules! Today they performed very creative radio plays - in which they were only allowed to use their voices to portray the story!

Wierda Park Drama Classes Nearly full!!

The Helen O Grady Drama Academy operates its drama classes in Wierda Park at the Reformed Church on the corner of Willem Botha and Meyer Streets. The classes are very popular with children attending from all different areas in Centurion and even as far as Laudium!

They are learning so many important skills while having enormous amounts of fun!! The children whose home language is Afrikaans have really improved their English skills!

Here you can see the Lower Primary class have dressed up for their play called Aladdin and the Lamp! The Upper Primary class really enjoyed staring in their play this week called The Ice Cream Factory!

It's hard to believe that 2010 is already under way!
The Helen O Grady Drama Academy in Pretoria commences classes this Monday 18th January!
It is going to be great to see all the old faces again and welcome lots of new ones!!

Word is spreading quickly through Pretoria about our fantastic programme and as a result classes are filling up...

Wierda Park Upper Primary Delight Audiences!

Our Upper Primary Class in Wierda Park absolutely love their drama classes, which are held every Friday during the school term from 4pm - 5pm at the Reformed Church in Wierda Park. We would like to congratulate them on a tremendous effort! We are also very proud of how well they projected their voices during their performance - Well Done boys and girls!
