Today marked the last lesson of the term at our Awesome Annlin Studio

Larisa, our spectacular teacher of our Annlin Studio, always has great fun with the students each week. Children and high school students from the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy learn communication and performance skills which develop overall confidence and speaking ability for future success in life. Students from ages 5-18 can attend these classes in different age-groups. Classes are always great fun and everyone follows our international drama curriculum developed over 30 years internationally.

Drama at Irene Primary are a great success!

From Grade 0 -7 students at Irene Primary have so much fun during their drama lesson! Our clevely devised curriculum allows students to explore their creative side whilst developing their confidence and oral communication skills! We even have students from Doringkloof Primary and South Downs College attending classes at Irene Primary!

Saturday Afternoon Classes at Lyttelton Library are Great Fun!

This week Principal of Helen O Grady for Pretoria and Midrand, Juliet Jordaan, had the pleasure of teaching the Lower Primary group at the Lyttelton Studio - they were so energetic and used their imaginations creatively!
Our Upper Primary class is full of Drama Queens - they put so much effort into their classes,which is wonderful to see!!

Helen O Grady Drama Academy is proud to announce the opening of 3 new studios!!

The Helen O Grady Drama Academy in Pretoria and Midrand is expanding! We are now running our international programme on Fridays straight after school at Sagewood Primary in Midrand and from Monday 8th March we'll be running the programme straight after school at Lindo Park Primary in Lindo Park! Our third new studio starts this Wednesday at the Saddlebrook Estate Clubhouse in Midrand.

REHEARSALS FOR YEAR END PRODUCTIONS - BROOKLYN UPPER PRIMARY

We have some very talented actors in our Upper Primary group - they attend weekly Drama lessons at the Greek Church in Brooklyn every Tuesday afternoon from 4pm - 5pm.

They are busy rehearsing for their wonderful pirate play called 'The Bold Buccaneers'. They play the role of terrifying pirates who come across two very scared sailors - what might happen to them? Will they be made to walk the plank or does the Pirate Captain have other plans for them?

LOWER PRIMARY BROOKLYN

Our Lower Primary class is doing a very sweet play called Paradesia - it is set on a tropical island and the children loved dressing up in 'Island Style'! Oh dear what happens when a freak storm hits Paradesia?

REHEARSALS FOR YEAR END PRODUCTIONS

Rehearsals for our Year End Productions are well on their way - in fact all studios will be presenting their plays on Sunday 29th November at Pro Arte Alphen Park High School. The students at our Brooklyn Studio (Greek Church, cnr Lynnwood and Roper Rds) come from the surrounding schools in the area such as Waterkloof Primary, Pretoria Oos Laerskool, Brooklyn Primary, Tyger Valley College, Crawford College Pretoria and Anton van Wouw, just to metion a few! We are so proud of the dedication and hard work that they have put into their rehearsals!!

Rehearsals for The Snake Charmer

Our Upper Primary class in Faerie Glen is busy rehearsing for their Year End Production. Their play is called The Snake Charmer. Yasmin, the beautiful princess is finding it hard to find a suitable husband!

FAERIE GLEN LOWER PRIMARY

The students at our Faerie Glen studio, which takes place on Monday afternoons at the NG Church on Glenwood Road, have just started rehearsing for their end of year production! Many of them have joined our Casting Agency - Aardvark Casting!

BEAULIEU PREPARATORY LAUNCH!

We are so excited to announce the opening of our Drama studio at Beaulieu Preparatory in Crowthorne, near Midrand. The children are very enthusiastic and full of energy - just the way we like them at Helen O Grady!!

We have three classes running every Saturday morning. Lower Primary (5 - 8yrs) 9am - 10am

Upper Primary (9 -12yrs) 10am - 11am and Youth Theatre (13 -18yrs) 11am - 12pm

Here the Lower Primary have just finished their improvisation and are feeling very happy!!

Our Weirda Park Upper Primary Class for children from the ages of 9 - 12 yrs is full of budding actors and actresses! They love dressing up and enjoy their weekly drama classes immensely!

MAKE UP DAY

The last lesson of Term 3 was Make Up Day at our studio at Irene Primary. The children loved having their faces painted and fun was had by all!!
